Jeff let me tell you something i have no problem with Andy,He has done a fine job with are program.Ijust think it is a shame that you will not let are program join as a whole. You should not let one persons feelings toward Andy harm the whole town.

delta baseball- 11-13-2008
I will stand behind Andy, like i said earlier we had a meeting and had decide to come back to little leauge .My money will stay in Harrisburg to support are youth program and I hope their are more like me.

There were more than one person in the meeting that I attended to answer thier questions and get thier answer. It is just sad that the current board could not see that they needed to act several months ago when I first talk to Andy and started posting information on this forum. I truely think it was a matter of pride for them instead of anything else.

Now, there is no reason that we can not all play together.

delta baseball- 11-13-2008
So then why are you not going to let us.You should not keep Harrisburg or delta from going back to little leauge just because you and a couple of former broad members had a problem.

Also who was supposed to inform Harrisburg about this meeting you had sounds like to me it was held in secert.I am sure Andy or me would have liked to been there to hear your thoughts. THIS MEETING WAS NOT KNOW TO MANY PEOPLE .When was it held.

I will explain again, C&P co LL has the boundaries. I can not cut out areas from them without reason. If the Harrisburg Youth would have contacted thier local Little League rep and reported that they want to return, they would then have been given that opportunity because they would have the numbers.

It was only after this group committed, then and only then, anyone (if you are a board person) from the Harrisburg program reports the desire to come back to Little League. It seems to me that you only want to hold on to control of these 3 teams.

I will be open to a community vote in 2010 to reunite. But, waivers will still be granted for those who apply.

First of all let me tell you iam not worried about those three teams going to play in jonesboro. That is their decison if they do not want to support their town.My worries are with the kids whose parnets do not have the money to travel to Jonesboro.

The Harrisburg group called the meeting. It was not a public meeting. I was there at thier request to answer question and to receive thier response.

I know that this is hard. But, sometime you just have to understand that there are times you have to admit that you were wrong and reverse course before people jump ship.

delta baseball- 11-13-2008
So what you are saying that if are kids in harrisburg want to play ball they will have to play with the poinsett craighead little league if we go back to little leauge.

delta baseball- 11-13-2008
Jeff again let me tell you something i have no problem admitting i am wrong. But you are also wrong with the way you are treating Harrisburg.I am a new board member on delta this year and I was the one that has pushed for Harrisburg to go back to little leauge but i can i see that you will not let that happen.

To play Little League you have to play in the League that has that boundary chartered unless you have a waiver or if they are not servicing that area, ask to form a new league with that area.

So, with the Harrisburg community providing C&P LL 3 teams, that shows that they are servicing that area. I have no reason to do anything with the boundary.

It still seems like it is all about control of the three teams, not about being in Little League.

delta baseball- 11-13-2008
Jeff like i said i could care less about those 3 teams you are the one that is making that a big deal.We have kids coming from 2 other towns to play here this year so those three teams do not matter to me.My big worry are for the kids that will not have the chance to play ball unless they play at jonesboro. My kids will play regardless but not in Jonesboro.

Jeff Smallmon SR- 11-13-2008
Delta, think about this. If a Harrisburg team joins C&P LL they will have 4-5 teams to play within 15-20 min of Harrisburg. Compared to traveling to EPC or Marked Tree. They also would then be eligable to play with the NEA's 10 teams per division. Looks like a positive move.

No one ever said that you had to play all of your games in Jonesboro. Last season, did you play all of your games in Harrisburg? Or just your home games? It could be the same this year,

Maybe you need to think about the kids from two other towns who are coming to play in Harrisburg. Why, what is the reason. Is that an issue with some of the local folks?
