Thanks gohogsgo and harris45 for the support. I have reached a point that I am tired of hearing people bash the players of last year for not being a team and or coming together as a team. Pulling a group of young men together can only be accomplished by GREAT LEADERSHIP. These young kids may not have a clue how to pull together. They have to be shown! There must be an example. It seems that certain people on here can bash the players all they want and no one deletes those comments. However, when someone really questions the leadership of the team .... then there are warnings sent out all over the place that basically say cease and desist or your comments will be deleted........ and they have been! I have read some things on here in the past that still remain in the threads that have personally attacked certain players. Which is totally against the rules of this forum... yet they remain! One would think that bashing players would be more of a no no than questioning the leadership of the team. However, it is not.

It certainly speaks volumes when the leadership of the team is given the delete button..... and uses it when he is in question. Let the personal attacks on past players go.......... yet delete the comments questioning the leadership. What does that say? Scholarship money will not set that record straight.

I am sure this post will not survive long.

Don't blame these young men for not coming together.... they are the PLAYERS.... they are not HIRED TO COACH! Their job is to FOLLOW. If they don't...... sit them on the BENCH..... but take some personal responsibility.

GREAT LEADERSHIP stands on it's own and is seen in the team. Just as POOR LEADERSHIP falls on it's own and is also seen in the team.

The leadership of the entire COLLEGE has a delete button. Get over yourself.

If you all really think that CRC basketball is so bad and will never be any good and that Coach Perkins is such a bad coach,

THEN WHY DO YOU CARE?

Go somewhere else. Is your life so bad that the only good thing going for you is to come to this site and bash some little junior college in NE Arkansas and that according to you will never amount to anything.

That does not say much for any of you. I am a fan. Win or lose, players I like, players I don't like. Coach I like, Coach I don't like.

This is a sad representation of sports in Arkansas. You are not happy unless everyone around is not happy, and please DON"T GIVE anyone else a chance.

I can't wait for this season to start. I am excited about the team. I think they have a good team this season. I can't wait for each of you to eat the crow you deserve.

If you think this season will be bad and that this team is bad, then why spend your time or even care what happens!!! The only reason some of you are on here and hidding behind these made up names, what a joke, is because you played last season, and you are afraid that this years team might win without you.

Will CRC give scholarships again? Maybe, maybe not, it does not matter to you! None of you are on the board or on staff at the school so who cares! Let CRC decide what and when they will make changes in their athletics.

If you are not a fan of this team or this coach, then move on to something else is your sorry life.

I am tired of the bashing of last years team as well. They are gone. They are history now. Only two of those players are back. They had three, but I think Chris Hall has quit the team again for the fourth time. That sounds like a very understanding coach to me.

I am tired of the bashing of the coach. He has only been here one year, and only one recruiting class that has not even played a game!!!!! Why not wait and see what this team does. Unless you scared their might win and that would just break your hearts. But I am sure even in winning you will find something wrong. This team could go 30-0 and you still would not be happy.

Now your using one of the players name again ..... and do not even have your facts right......... and saying that people have sorry lives. You need some anger help. Oh, and by the way ... I am sure charliebrown will be there to help Joe Torre out. And I am sure gohogsgo will be in St. Louis helping out ol' Tony L. Just giving them both your opinion of course.

I can't wait to see #1Umpire as well, I heard his working the plate in both games.

my point has not nor will it ever be to bash the players or the coach. my point was to bash the FACT that you will never get the caliber of athlete to compete against the huge d-1 jucos that they play WITHOUT giving scholarships. SPORTS has never and i repeat never hurt a school. it won't! it will not happen! it will draw students to your school! so, why not give scholarships! if you started winning national championships, i don't care at what level, you would generate more revenue. with more revenue, comes more revenue from higher student enrollment. that place could become more than, as someone else stated, a really small school in ne arkansas. it could be a good sized junior college. what would be so wrong with that? why are people offended on here over someone saying that they hope that another junior college in our state would start giving scholarships for sports? it would only bring the total to like 4. how bad is this state cheating the second tier ?spelling? athlete? 4 junior colleges when there used to be at least a dozen! wow! sad! crc could reap the benefits of it if they started scholarships up again, though!

You know Hoopsfan...your the one always crying about hidding behind "these made up names" what the crap do you think your doing? And for the record this is Chris Hall, and thats NOT a "made up" name. I belive this is only the Second time I've "quit". And let me give you the FACTS. First of all, the coach that was here my first year apparently didnt injoy showing up to morning practice...So you know, if the coach doesnt want to show up to practice, then what really is the point ? Secondly, last semester I believe I was the one that went up to Coach Perkins and ask him if he could use another guy on the team to maybe help them out the second semeter, after someone had quit the first semester, I believe because they said they couldnt stand Coach Perkins, and the way he coached. Personally I dont have a problem with Coach Perkins, we may not agree on everything on or off the court, but who does. And the reason i quit this semester is: One I might not be back next semester, Two I really didnt want to put up with all the crap that i knew was going to go on, and Three I really didnt feel like WASTING my time. I have No problems with ANYONE at the school coaches or otherwise, and that should be apparent since im back for my 3rd year. So "Hoopsfan " you might want to get your facts straight before you start run your mouth about crap you have NO clue about.

first...No one has even seen the team this year play, so what do you all know about how the team is going to be or not be for the upcoming year.
second...Chris Hall is a good kid. If he wanted to quit it is his choice. We all make choices every day.
Third... Coach Perkins' was hired by the authorities at CRC. They believe that he can do the job. This is just his second year, give him a chance. At least he shows up for practices,has them on a weight program from the University of Louisville strength coach, makes them go to class, and is worried if they are passing or failing. I work at CRC and am around Mr. Perkins' daily. He is trying to do something with this team and bring CRC up from being an armpit team to something else. He must be doing something right because when he had a tryout camp in April, the gym was full of people. CRC can't offer scholarships, so it is hard to get people at CRC. Maybe someday CRC will be a four year school and offer scholarships for all sports, but until then you work with the hand you are dealt and deal with it. You don't whin, you just do it.

Charlie Brown - So I take it you considered yourself a "team player" for CRC? Do you actually believe that? A team player LISTENS to his/her coach, for they do have an actual play in mind. Perhaps you just couldn't run the play Coach Perkins was asking of you. Too bad. Sounds like you're just someone who didn't get his way so you just want to bash CRC because you couldn't handle it. Tell me? What MAJOR scholarships were offered to you to go to some 4-year college? Or was it perhaps, that your academics weren't good enough for any 4-year college to take a risk on, besides the lack of talent? I doubt very seriously that you would get along with any coach. Sounds like sour grapes to me, and like you just think of yourself, which is NOT a team player. Coach Perkins is a coach who believes in discipline and I think you need to keep your comments on your own level, perhaps boys club, if indeed your level is that high.
