I didn't like the first overall pick in the draft this year because they didn't pick an exciting player to start off the draft this year. Why not pick a skills player like a running back or a wideout or quarterback first overall.

That's an easy question...long was taken 1st because he was the best player in the draft. He is the one who will be able to step in the starting lineup and not miss a beat. That, coupled with the fact that this was one of the worst draft for offensive skill players ever. There wasn't a QB worth of drafting in the top 10, Ryan was a real stretch at 3 as he lacks the ability to run and the arm strength to pose a real threat. I feel he only was drafted because the Falcons were desperate for a QB...there were maybe 2 or 3 RB's who deserved to be 1st rd. picks...the receiving prospects were horrible. This was the draft for O-line and defensive players.
