riverside lost 14-0

Rector goes down 13-3 to Dierks' #3 pitcher.

Riverside goes down 14-0 to P.C.'s #4 pitcher.

Hmm....who said something about the pitching from down south?

Also, Poyen over Hermitage 6-5. I'm 3-0 so far...

Norphlet 6 Tuckerman 3

Outhit them 11-5 but couldn't string them together and left too many on.

Good season Bulldogs.

This goes to show just how powerful the south is when it comes to baseball in the state of Arkansas. They didn't just beat our region, they tore it apart. Only Marked Tree had a really close game, and that's because they've got the only pitcher in the region that can compete with those boys.

Parker's Chapel threw their #4 against Riverside, and he was hitting 78-80. The #4 on that team would be THE #1 of our region.

I wasn't just blowing smoke when I said that the other day, and they proved it....

Also, my predictions would have been 8-0 had Tuckerman not been upset, but I'll have to settle for 7-1... dry.gif

i went 5-3

I went and watched Manila and Gurdon yesterday. Lefty from Gurdon was hitting 91 on the gun. Manila got beat 1-0 and had some chances but could never get the big hit they needed. Nunnaly(spelling may not be right) pitched a heck of a game for Manila.

Saw something I've never seen before. Kid from Gurdon hits a home run and misses home. Manila appeals it and he's out. The inning later the coach comes on the field with a video camera wanting to show the umpire a replay of the batter "supposedly" touching home(he didn't I saw him miss it). The umpire turned him around in a heartbeat and sent him back to the dugout, he's lucky he didn't get the heave ho.

Well we should have won our game. You have to have some breaks in order to beat good teams, and we had no breaks. Nothing went our way the whole game. We should have won, we where better than them. Thats why it is baseball and that how it goes, anyone can win on any given day. Norphlet knows that better than anyone. Good game norphlet.
