Just wondering why the ASU Lady Indians do not have a fast pitch softball program like many surrounding colleges in the state?

Lyon College, Memphis, U of A at Pine Bluff, U of A at Monticello, Hendrix College, UCA, Arkansas Tech, Ouachita Baptist University and even Williams Baptist College has a softball program.

Just plain and simple, why or why not ASU?

Money, they won't add fastpitch because it will take away money from mens BB and FB.

they have bowling!!!!

The picthers are way better than that around here.

I know money is always going to be an issue, but so is it at other colleges across the state. Somehow all those other colleges seemed to figure out a way to make it work financially and you would think that ASU would be able to get more support than those places. Besides, if the school actually put money into something they had a chance at winning, the school might actually build a respectable program to represent ASU as a whole.

UALR doesn't have softball either. I figure that both will add it in the near fututre.
