State may have a cake walk into the finals. Pressure defense vs uk/ga stamina after a morning game.
They just put them under another tornado watch too. Man, that was some strong winds to rock the top of the dome like it did !
I believe UK will get in tourney anyway due to conf record. Also, Vanderbilt, Tenn, MSU, and the HOGS. But, what happens if Georgia pulls off a miracle and wins out? Will they leave out UK or HOGS? I don't believe anyway they take 6 from SEC. Bottom line, MSU needs to put Georgia out tonight, or UT-UA winner needs to take them out Sunday!
I have family that lives in Lexington and a bunch of UK fans want Pelphery. Let's just hope he sees what he can build in Arkansas.
I don't believe Billy G is going anywhere soon, now that they turned things around in conf play. However, the fear some Hog fans have of losing Pelphrey is amazing. No coach is bigger than the UA program whether it be football, bb, or whatever. The facilities, $, and fan support is there and will always be there.
On another sidenote, Pelphrey's sideline language toward opposition players needs to be toned down. I love his passion toward his players, however telling another team's player to "shut the fxxx up" is way way way over the line. Anyone tuned in to the UT game saw him do this verbatim to Juwaun Smith. The announcers even mentioned his jawing at the opposition. That is taboo in coaching.
If or when, he decides to go to UK someday so be it. There are always others who will see the unbelievable opportunity they have to come to UA with the aforementioned attributes. GO HOGS BABY!!
Pelphrey is an emotional coach and he wears it on his sleaves. I agree to some extent about the language. But, he was antagonized repeatedly by Juwaun prior to the stfu remark. The announcers made reference to this, as well. It was so bad at one point, I'm surprised that the refs let it go on. Juwaun was dropping f bombs right in his face as Juwaun would stare him down after a made basket. Also, the announcers said that they didn't know why Juwaun was doing that because Pel had nothing but praise for him in a press conference the day before the game.
Watching the game, UT players were droping f bombs and Gd this and that the whole game.
When asked about the remarks and stare downs with Juwaun, he avoided the question and moved on to the next in a professional manner.

When you speak to thugs, you've go to speak their language. Tennessee has a team full of thugs, and Bruce Pearl allows them to run their mouths constantly. Somebody had to finally tell them to shut the xxxx up! Pelphrey did it verbally, the Hogs did it on the court!
The point is, you don't speak to other team's players. I guarantee you Pelphrey has told his players not to respond to taunts and the other crap that goes on. You can't teach one thing and do another. When you raise kids, coach athletes, teach students, that is one of the first rules of instilling accountability in your understudies.
Remember what Nolan said, "when you win you can say anything." He found out how true that was, but he just repeated it while going through the interview at ASU.
Pelphrey's language will be the very thing fans will eventually focus on if he begins losing. The sooner he learns to channell his negative emotions that are detremental to him and the team, the better coach he will be.
You don't have to curse athletes to be a great coach!
You do have to have great passion, he has that, he just needs to work on the language, and remember the camera is always on and rollling!

I disagree to some extent. I wanted a coach that would stand up for me, whether that be to other players or the refs. He has shown that he will go to bat for his guys. Much better than Stan Heath's approach of not saying anything.
