MAURIZI SIGNS WITH PIONEER BASEBALL

PARAGOULD, AR – Former Truman High School baseball standout Brent
Maurizi has signed to play his college baseball at Crowley’s Ridge
College. Maurizi is a right handed pitcher and infielder.

“This is a great addition to our baseball program,” said Pioneers Head
Baseball Coach Chris Perkins. “Brent gives us a strong number one or
two pitcher for our starting rotation next season. I am very excited
about his future and what it will signify to our baseball program
here.”

Maurizi posted a career record of 23-6 during his high school career
with a 1.08 earned run average over four seasons. He posted 216
strikeouts in just 155.1 innings pitched. At the plate he collected
a .343 batting average with 11 career homeruns.
