Hunter's not just big. He can run the floor and play the game.
After seeing the Westside V JHS game how can you say anyone but Hunter Mickelson... not only is he the best but hes doing that in senior high

I know a 7th grader from GCT who shut him down. But, he pretty much shuts down whoever he guards, which is always the opponents best player. |
Well, yeah... that 7th grade bunch at Tech is full of some kids who should end up being special. It's going to be fun times at GCT for a while.

| QUOTE (HolzBeaz09 @ January 04, 2008 07:47 pm) | Have any of ya'll seen Black Rock's 9th graders play, Theres Tadd Fore, Joe Carey, Trent More, Tyler Roby, and Hunter Horten, They all have been playing together for 5 years now, and their ball team is 20-0 I'm not saying they are the best, but yes my boys bring it, they work as a team, and all year the have been at every practice I can think of, these boys at all times are out shooting and working hard, just bc we have a small school they should been known as well.
Congrats BR Jr. high! =] |
Yes they are good......beat Brookland on a last second throw in....... Wish they could play again. |
It wasn't a throw in! It was a wide open lay-up. That shot is made 98% of the time. My definition of a throw in would be a shot that is not usually made. That was an easy bucket to win the game.
I think that the two best 9th graders from this area are Jamal Jones at Annie Camp and Curtis Branch at Nettleton. I would give the edge to Branch. Those two are going to be fun players to watch in the future.

The Madden kid from EPC should definitely be in the conversation.
I agree with you Carmaduke, Madden is a pretty good player. I know that you have seen the Branch kid play this year. What did you think of him? How about Jones, did GCT and AC play this year?
The madden kid from epc is very good. And i mean he has got size and he is good with the ball...
Curtis Branch at Nettleton is a really good 9th grader. He should be playing in Nettleton's next senior high game. The Madden kid at EPC did "Marcus Monk" like things in the district tournament, he is a special ball player.

I watched the Branch kid play at Wynne in the championship game. He took control fo that game and put Paragould away by himself. Sweet jump shot from behind the arc.
I've watched Madden play all season at EPC. Inside AND outside game. Can play point or post down low. LOTS of proven talent... even more potential.
I have been saying Tevin Smith from Marion all season. He had 15 tonight againest 6a east rival West Memphis. He is better than Madden without the attitude.IMO
