i know who is the best 9th grader in nea and its love.. and for thous who said morgan fletcher his an 8th grader so get it right

Big_Coach- 11-12-2007
The best 9th Grader in the NEA area is PARRIS JEANS of Turrell. Legitimate 6'3 195 center. The guy is a true Beast. He owns the paint. averages 18 pts and 12 rebs, 4 blocks a game. He could start Senior high right now. Just ask around.......Probably the best 9th grade athlete period. Hes just as good on the field as he is on the court. nearsports/th_204.gif

He's a 6'3 center, I doubt his coach wants him breaking the press, shooting the 3, assist, etc.....

Geesh.

basketballdad- 11-12-2007
what ya mean geesh.........There is more to the game then just the paint. Unless all he plans on doing is playing HS. If his coach doesnt want him to that...well then i guess thats why he coaches at Turrell. If he cant do any of that then he had better hope he gets about 7 foot tall....

Beating someone in a game of 1-on-1 doesn't make you the better player. They're alot of aspects to consider in the"Team" game of basketball.

ok its farely easy to see that everybody on here that has voted for love is from riverside im not even from manila and kam is the best there is he is averging 13 points bout 8 boards and 6or7 assist a game he is the best love is a little short guarf that cant do crap

It's also "fairly" easy to see that you have about a 7th grade education.

I mean if your in NE Arkansas and you have a 6'3 195lb center that is a hoss in the paint I doubt you want him hanging out at the 3 pt line. Hopefully you have some guards that can handle the 3's, assist, handling the ball, etc..... I would love to coach against you if you want your hoss in the paint shooting 3's instead of wearing out the other team in the paint. nearsports/doh.gif

i think this thread is about the best player.....if all he does is hang around in the paint and get his points...i hardly think that qualifies him as the best player. As Yaz said early there is more to beating someone one on one, I say the same about a kid that gets all his points in the paint......there is more to it. I know a kid that i s 6 1' 200 and a hoss in the paint,,but he can handle the ball and shoot outside, so when he run across another "hoss" in the paint......he still has game.

Come on now. You do not have to do everything to be considered the best player. I mean Shaquille O'neal can't break a press or shoot a three and I believe a few years ago he was considered the best in the NBA. Evidentally this kids job is to control the paint and if that is what he is doing then his job is complete. Oh and about your triple doubles question. He probably doesn't have any because if a junior high kid is getting a triple double then someone is keeping the stats wrong.

I don't care what you say, a triple double is hard to get at any level no matter if he is a team player or not but it is extremely hard to get at the junior high level. I mean you only have 24 minutes and considering that you would have to score at least make 4 shots plus have 10 passes that lead to assists. That is 14 possessions right there. Not to mention that they still have to get rebounds or steals or something else on top of that. Not very easy to do in a junior high game.
