Thanks so much, and I'm glad you value my opinion, but I haven't really watched most of the girls that are in high school. Since cheering at Central Arkansas and watching all-star top girls in the Little Rock and Conway areas, I seem to be a little biased to those girls. It depends on what you look for in a good top girl. Some people see basic skills in high school and think "Wow, what a great top girl." I don't see things that way. First, a good top girl needs to be TIGHT. There is really no girl in my opinion that is very tight. Second, a good top girl needs body control. I don't really see this as the same as being tight. Controlling your body means understanding how to make it do the necessary skills. For example, it takes body control to do, say, a heel stretch double down or a kick double full basket. You don't see those in high school. Finally, a good top girl should be able to stand on any grip given. It is the job of a top girl to keep the crowd's eyes off of a wobbly stunt. Yes, flexibility can be a key factor as it is easier to double off of a great arabesque or straight scorpion, for example. I appreciate that you think I'm one of the best top girls to come through NEA. That means a lot. If anyone wants to know, I learned everything I knew trying out at Central Arkansas my freshman year while I cheered for the ACC Storm All-Stars back in the day. Good times.
