It has been a while since the BIC boys have played so they will have to shake the rust off. They play tonight at Leachville (jr high homecoming).
Both teams played scrappy tonite.it was a fun game to watch.Wheeler was on fire.I heard he had 31 but thats not official,but it was not a 1 man show each player contributed.Hawkins hit some BIG 3pointers,Kam played an all around great game.The rest of the team each one had their moments.
I can't remember the score but we won in double figures I think.
The jr high game was a blow out. In the Mustangs favor.
BIC won 73-59. BIC played a good second half but all they did in the first half was slap or knock Black Rock to the floor. If they don't learn how to play defense without fouling they will not finish in the top 4 in conference. The turning point in the game was in the 3rd quarter when Black Rock's #22 picked up his 4th foul. It was all BIC after that with him on the bench.

If they continue to play like the way you describe, they will have a good year.
#22 is Les Foster, fine young man and good ball player. His dad is a very good friend of mine. When he picked up foul #4 and went to the bench, BIC took advantage and started pulling away. Lets also not forget that we caught a break with their point guard being out tonight with an illness. Great win for the Stangs...
Remember Derek Rolland and Cord Rose? Neither of them played a game in their life where they shouldnt have fouled out! That the BIC that i wanna c play, and that will be much better!
Sadly those days are long gone and you can't go back in the past only look to the future. But if BIC could play defense like that again they would make it to the state tournament again.
Its true that those days are gone, however; the defense played tonight resembled the physical play that was in the past.
The physical play is fine as long as the refs let you get by with it. Once you pick up your 2nd foul in the first half it is time to back off. I would much rather have my starters in the game than the subs.
