I just got word in that our lady bearcats won 3A state championship, defeating Lavaca in five! Bearcats took the first two and lost the second two, and ended up taking the fifth game! Good Job LADY BEARCSTS 2006 STATE CHAMPIONS! clap.gif

congrats to brookland.... i jus wish piggott and brookland would have got to see each other in the finals... that would have been a good match... you have to give it up to piggott as well tho, beating the 3a champs and the 6a champs - jonesboro, during season play, again congrats to brookland

ok, correction! Brookland has won other state titles in basketball in 80 and 81. Maybe some others, we only saw two state title boards in the new gym, there could be more in the old gym. So brookland has held other state titles in other sports, but this is the first one in v-ball.

p.s. brookland also beat JHS in regular season play as well (in 3 games), but i do think piggot is a very good competitor, and they deserve credit as well!

ummm....there has been no state champs board in the new gym of Brookland High School!! There is 1 runner up and thats it!! That was in baseball!! No basketball has got close!
