7th grade lost 22-12 it was 16-12 with 30 sec left and corning had a big run for a TD. For a first showing they looked better than we thought we need to work on tackling and hanging on to the ball I think we had 3 fumbles.
8th graders where playing nineth grades and was losing 28-0 at halftime didnt seee final score. They also looked timmid and need to fall on the ball when it is loose but all in all they did great Brookland had a huge croud thanks for all the fans comeing and supporting the boys!
You can be proud of your Football team. They competed against a very good football school. 7th grade lost 22-12, 8th grade lost 28-18 playing against 9th graders. Next football game is Monday night against Valley View.
Keep up the hard work Beatcats!
I know this was a loss for both Bearcat teams, but I couldn't have been prouder of this bunch of young men. Yes, the 7th grade team lost, but they did score first, had some good runs by Chase Gage & others, and the guys got some great experience going into their next game at VV. The 8th graders were mis-matched against the larger and more experienced 9th grade Corning team, but the second half was very exciting playing 8th vs. 8th in which we outscored them 18-0 in the second half, With Cupp, Cantwell, Bracken & Osment making some good plays. Next week will not include Kickoff/Kickoff Return, and also not include 9th graders(or so I am told), so maybe it will be a more balanced con-*test*-('") for the 8th grade team. THE TRADITION BEGINS NOW!!
