Care to elaborate? UCA certainly isn't a small school, it's D-1.

Brooks was offered by Albany, the University of Maine, and Cleveland State, that i know of.

That's great and all but out of all the schools you listed I would definately say that UCA is the best

Cleveland State made the NIT this past year and has made the NCAA before. They play in a lot better conference than UCA. The Horizon league is usually rated above the Sun Belt. I don't blame hime for going to UCA but

He should fit right in to this thuggish style of basketball that will allow us to be in search of a new coach for the 09-10 season.

Chalk that one down right there...UCA will be looking for a new Head Basketball coach after this next season!!!

The president has expressed on many occasions his dislike for the direction of the program.
They hired former Jonesboro Hurricane Matt Daniel to give life back the the girls program and the next move is to give life to a terrible men's program.

Of course he would be promised a starting job since the coach has already dug his grave as deep as it can get.

Brooks should come in and make a very positive impact on this team. He put up very good numbers for a solid juco team last year and he will do the same this year.

Congratulations and good luck to Brooks; also on another side note I heard a romor yesterday that another former Mustanger will be lacing his basketball shoe's up again. I heard yesterday that former Arkansas Mr. Basketball Brandon Ballard will be getting his final 2years of college (Masters Degree) paid for and will being playing basketball for Arkansas Tech.

Has anyone else heard this, or is there any truth to this rumor??? If anyone has any positive information on this please advise. It would be great to have both of these young men playing again in the state of Arkansas. This could only be a win-win situation for both Arkansas Tech & Brandon.

One can only hope that rumor about Brandon is true. If it is.....looks like I will
be going to AR Tech to watch him play once again.

I heard it from one of his close relatives.They said he went down for a try out hit about 8 3's in a scrimmage the coach asked what # do you want.

I know this part to be true but I have not asked Brandon if he is going or not.

So both these guys started out in D-1 and are settling for D-1AA and D2 now.

I wish them luck, more so Ballard than anyone else because he seems to be a great kid. It sounds like he is just getting bored now though if he is trying out at Arkansas Tech. Why not someone that has success if you are going to go D2? If Taylor can play at UCA, I know Ballard could!!! Besides the Bears need someone with a level head that won't just throw it up every time they touch it. Then again, maybe he got sick of playing with a player like that in High School and would rather not have to be teammates with him again.

It will be good to get to see him play again, if he does choose Arkansas Tech that is. Central AR loves to have players like him around to watch.

in basketball it's called a school that is in the transition period between D2 and D1...thank you. I didn't just have dinner with Bill Self over the weekend or anything. I must be so clueless. Oh and yea, I did have dinner with Bill Self and even have a picture that some lovely lady came up and took of us all together eating. So, there's not a what?

There is no such thing as D-1AA in college basketball. You can call the limbo that UCA is in whatever you want. That doesn't mean that the rest of us have to use your inaccuracy.
