There is no division 1AA, and Ballard is goin to play at Arkansas Tech because i have heard it come out of his mouth and he wants to play there, even though he could play division one again but chose not to.
UCA is D-1. Brooks had the chance to sign with a few other Division 1 schools but wanted to play close to his family. It seems like Bearbait has a grudge against Bill and Brooks Taylor.
Bearbait is like alot of folks in NEA. We just got sick of the antics. We just don't bow down to the alter of the Taylors like some.
Good lord, how long do the Taylor's have to be gone before you can put the hatered behind you. You call it "antics", we called it back to back State Championships. What's bad is that your team knew what the Taylor's where going to bring to the game each time you played them and still yet Brook's still got into the other players heads and then your team just flat-out got out-coached. It's time for you people to move on; its not like the Mustangs or Rebels will have much to brag about for the next few years??? Brook's "antics" along with all the other role players sure won alot of games. You may not like his attitude; but you can't deny his talent on the court.

I have never said that Brooks wasn't talented, or that Bill couldn't coach. I don't think anyone would deny either of those items. The antics didn't win the ballgames, the talent did (well except for Bill winning over the officals, but anyway). The antics are what kept BT from being looked at the same way Brandon Ballard is.
This stuff will continue to be brought up as long as there are threads about them.
How many times did Brooks lose to Manila? Grade school included. Don't say that it is irrelevant because it obviously isn't.

I don't know, probably not many if any. I would feel the same way about the show if he played for Blytheville or Jonesboro or anybody else that Manila doesn't play. That's why I said what I said about Brandon Ballard. He didn't lose to Manila either, but I don't have a bad thing to say about him. Great kid who played the game the right way.
You folks need to realize that everybody didn't like Brooks because he was good or won lots of ballgames. Its the other stuff that turned everybody off, and if you can't see that you need to take your blue and gray glasses off.

Don't have blue and gray glasses. Not from anywhere near Leachville and Monette.I just know that if BIC was a .500 team during Bill and Brooks time there, their would be zero threads about the Taylor's.

I agree..................well said..
One taylor can play and one can coach but when times get tough they're GONE
Everyone on here does not ride that TAYLOR-made bus
No one is asking anyone to bow down to the Taylors. You make the choice to click on this thread. Brooks so called antics filled gyms, ours and yours when BIC played. Funny how so many disliked the kid, but kept paying to watch him play....
I saw his team play several times but never had to pay to get in anywhere I went. I went to watch Ballard, but had to miss out on his full potential because of all the distractions of some clown(yep can't stand to watch him)named Taylor.
I have no clue who the kid is off the court. He could be next in line to be the Pope, but I would think he was a thug because of having to watch him on that court.
I have never on any thread said that his father was a terrible coach, but if people must print words that don't exist please yourself. I just think that times are extremely hard for him where he is and it may just be time to start looking into that Cross County job or something.
I am from Central AR, I call the shot as I see it. I guess I will have to swallow or choke in the next couple of years in watching the Bears play, but I will actually get to see what kinda kid he is off the court now.
As far as the D1 thing goes...you are right, they changed the name of those transition schools this year to some cheesy name that means the exact same thing. That would be those schools who will be getting killed over the next few years as they transition into real college sports. Last season we were listed in every sporting magazine as a D1-AA school. So they changed the name of it to D1 Championship Subdivision. You can church it up all ya want to, but he still chose a much smaller school.

I take it you watched some games from Ballards senior year? Was that the year that BIC went 43-3, won the state title and he (Ballard) was named Mr. Basketball for the state? And you didn't see his full potential? Wow, who has blinders on now...
