Does anyone know anything about Choctaw Island WMA in S.E. Arkansas (Desha County, Arkansas City area)?? My son drew a youth hunt permit there and was wanting to find out any and everything about that area.. If anyone has hunted that area please shoot me a P.M... Thanks..

if the rules haven't changed, you must kill a doe before you can shoot a buck. i haven't hunted there but have had some friends try it. they said the does there were harder to kill than a 5 yr. old buck anywhere else. they said the does have been shot at so much that they go around with their heads straight up looking into the trees for hunters. said they had never seen such spooky does in their life. but they did say the quality of bucks was pretty good.
