If any of you were comic book readers when you were a kid, especially the Marvel super hero comics, I highly recommend you go see the new "Ironman" movie that's out. I took my grandson to see it last night on opening night, and we both just loved it. A lot of action, but no so much that it didn't have a storyline. It was very entertaining.

I was a Marvel Comics freak when I was a kid. Spider-Man was my favorite, but I read them all. Avengers, X-Men, Defenders, Daredevil, Hulk, Captain Americal, Fantastic Four, ALL of em! If it was Marvel, it was mine. Of course, they cost 35 cents then! Now they cost 5 bucks! I still pick up a Spider-Man or Avengers every now and then.

Really? How many movies and TV shows have they made based on DC heroes? How many have they made based on Marvel heroes?

NEAbb, we have agreed on nearly every subject in the history of NEARsports. But on this one, I may go to the mat with ya!

I read DC's Sgt Rock a lot because my older brother collected them. Wasn't into the superhero thing. If I had a fav, it would be Spidey and Superman.

I do have a question about Superman's cape...how in the heck was it bullet and fire proof? Unscathed in a nuclear explosion or shielded the innocent from raining bullets. blink.gif

I do give credit to Marvel for putting out hero related movies, I mean with the spiderman, Fantastic 4, Blade, and X-men movies having sequels there are alot of them. Then add the punisher, Ghost Rider, Hulk, there are movies numbering in the 20's for Marvel. Oh and who could forget Marvels most powerful hero, Howard the duck. cool.gif Marvel has plenty of "WEAK" heroes.......but they do have good movies... laugh.gif

The best movie for a comic book IMO is Batman Begins.

And don't hate on Howard the Duck nearsports/07388820.gif
