CROWLEY’S RIDGE CLOSES REGULAR SEASON WITH WIN
PARAGOULD, AR – Led by Zac Wilson with 16 points, the Crowley’s Ridge College Pioneers pulled out a 95-89 win in the regular season’s final game. The Pioneers will next travel to Bethany, Oklahoma to play in the ACCA National Tournament that starts on Thursday.
Blake Bowers scored 15 points, Derek Self added 14 points, Artomie Dixon added 13 points and six assist, and Keith Bowles scored 10 points and pulled down a team high nine rebounds. CRC shot 36 of 78 from the floor for 46.2%, including eight for 22 from the three-point line. They also added a 15 of 20 effort from the free-throw line.
Crowley’s Ridge led by 10 points several times during the game but could never put away the Central Baptist team. The Pioneers led by four at the half 49-45, but pressure defense pushed the Pioneers led in the second half. The Pioneers forced 18 Mustang turnovers on the day.
ACCA National Tournament brackets will be announced Sunday night, and the Pioneers will find who and when they will play in the tournament next week.
And what was the name of that radio station that broadcasted the game? I forget....
