ARLINGTON, Texas (AP)—The NFL is giving Adam “Pacman” Jones another chance.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Wednesday the suspended cornerback has been reinstated by league commissioner Roger Goodell, but he must miss two more games—this Sunday and the following game on Thanksgiving. He’ll be back Dec. 7 at Pittsburgh.

“He much appreciates the Cowboys and Jerry Jones for standing behind him and encouraging him, and he’s grateful to the commissioner,” said Worrick Robinson, Adam Jones’ Nashville-based attorney.

Jerry Jones would not reveal any conditions the commissioner may have imposed and the league office said it would not have any immediate comment. However, Robinson, said, “He knows what he has to do. It’s very clear.”

“He’s a long way, a long way from having clear sailing,” Jerry Jones said

nearsports/razorback.gif Pacman Jones helped their defense when he was playing.Yes he gets in trouble but, this last incident shouldn't have gotten him suspended.I'm sad to hear that he won't be playing on Thanksgiving because I'm going to the game and wanted to see him in action. He is a good Cornerback that seems to be followed by trouble.
Hopefully he won't make Jerry Jones look like an idiot and will straighten his act up. nearsports/razorback.gif

First off, I am a big Cowboys fan.

Usually when someone is "followed by trouble", it is because they are the least common denominator and culprit.

How can you possibly say Pacman shouldn't have been suspended for this last incident? First of all, he has chronic discipline problems. Second of all, he gets into an alteracation with the very people hired to protect him. Are you kidding me? That's ate up with dumb a$$.

I'm surprised Goodell reinstated him this year at all. Based on his past, until he can demonstrate an ability to act civilized for a sustained amount of time (and I'm not so sure 5 weeks is the proper barometer), I don't think he should be allowed back.

Jerry Jones will do everything to prevent Pacman from "being Pacman" again, mostly because it makes him look like an idiot. But I'm hard pressed to believe that Pacman will make it through the rest of his career without more negative headlines.
