For what it's worth, If drinking Hoxie water on a longterm daily basis, I would worry. They seem a bit casual in breaking state health dept regulations.

Being a former City Council member I find this a big strange to hear. As fas as Hoxie being lax on standards, a mandatory boil order would be put in place by the Health Department has happened. (DUH). For a municipality which which makes is it a habit to break all the rules...I find it funny how Hoxie's drinking water was rated as one of the best tasting in the State of Arkansas.

EPA Report for Hoxie's Water

Report states..."No health-based violations found. EPA has no record of any health-based violations reported by the state for this water system"

What was witnessed would have got you another boil order.

As far as the water taste con-*test*-('") go....distilled water will never win, it's been tried. The best tasting water as a rule has lots of impurities.
