True...it is the largest single day drop in American history point wise...not percentage wise.

As freedom loving individuals we should be putting thieves in jail...not bailing them out.

Voting down what would in effect be the largest form of socialism in American History is not a bad thing...it is a good thing. We claim we live a democracy where we as citizens have freedoms only other countries can dream about...yet you're looking to government to make it all better. Do you want it both ways? nearsports/0c4fae0e.gif

Other things that could happen would be banks wouldn't be so lose with their money. They'd actually make loans to people who could pay them back. Now there is a concept.

Some think this has the potential to be the worst thing since the great depression. What makes it any different than the last catastrophe brewed up by Washington lawmakers and the news media? Bad news sells...it isn't any thing new. This is the worst thing to ever hit America because that's what we're being told.

The thing about bad times are they're simply a prelude to good times. Stop with all the gloom and doom stop looking to Washington for all the answers. They're the ones who created this problem and now you want them to fix it? nearsports/headbonk.gif

Companies that have to borrow money to make payroll are all most bankrupt anyway.

If the best thing is to give banks 700 billion to bail them out, sending us down a road of socialism. Then I say tick on them let them fall and take that money and open a Federal bank.
tick on all those people that had to have a house that was way to big for them and tick on all those bankers lending money to people that can't afford it.

If things go as some say they will I simply say brace yourself and learn to to enjoy an abundance of humble pie

Dow was up more than 400 points today...see, the sky isn't falling after all

well the senate passed a 700 billion dollar bill and now the US Government has gotten even bigger. They've expanded their roll in our every day lives, and make the idea of making it on your own just a little bit harder. If you look on your home mortgage, you won't find the words owned by the government in small print. But believe me....it's there nearsports/th_41616-4.gif
