Well as most of you know I was in the minority in thinking the Twins made out pretty good in this trade. Not only did they save themselves about $20 million a year, they picked up 3 top prospects who should be able to help for many years. I know it is still WAY early in the season but I thought it would be fun to see how those players involved are faring.
Carlos Gomez-(fas-*test*-('") man in MLB) is leading the majors in steals with 9 and is hitting .275 w/ 5 doubles and 9 runs scored while flashing some serious leather as the 22 year old starting center fielder in Minnesota.
Deolis Guerra-as an 18 year old in High-A ball he is dominating hitters with a 0.60 ERA in 15 innings w/ 10 hits allowed and 12 K's. He won his only decision and he has been given strict pitch limitations and hasn't pitched past the 5th in any game.
Kevin Mulvey-is 2-1 in AAA Rochester w/ a 1.00 ERA and 20 K's to only 3 BB's in 17.2 innings.
