1. Jonesboro (Haven't seen them play but I have a friend that tells me they are great this year.)
2. GCT (Have played a weak schedule but has looked good doing it. I saw them against Searcy JV and they were fast. Marion has a 2-1-1 record but they did only win 2 games last year)
3. Nettleton (Started out slow but won the last two games with ease)
4. Marion

Ok after the top four I'm not sure
Has Paragould played any games?
Batesville has only played southside I believe?
Valley View looked horrible when I saw them pay?
West Memphis lost to Marion but once again I heard they were pretty good.

I don't think Paragould has played yet, here next weeks local schedule.

Nettleton and GCT are going to be very equally matched, should be a very interesting game.

Of the Boys teams I've seen play:

Valley View tied Marion at Marion. Also, two starters are out, one suspended other hurt.

I believe that by the end VV will be okay. GCT seems to be strong this year and I hope it holds together for them.

That looks good . The only problem is some teams in this area have played 5 or 6 games while others have played 1 or 2 ( maybe 0). Judging a top five off of a teams 1st and 2nd game is tough. Look at Nettleton they the 1st couple of games and now are playing better . Most of the teams play each other before spring break. We should know more then.

Don't sleep on CRA. Conference champions and semifinalists in the state last year. Lost a little but not much. Should be pretty solid once again.

Did CRA play Monday?

Cancelled because of rain. They don't play again for about two weeks because of spring break.

CRA's next game is Monday the 17th against Tech.

GCT is still drastically underperforming and will be second if not first on that list by end of season, unfortunately they don't get another shot at VV to prove it.

Top 5 boys

^ 1. Jonesboro - by far the best team in this area. They have depth and play the game of soccer well. Should be in the finals of the 6A again.

^ 2. Nettleton - team speed and ball control is good. Thier defense needs work. Could win their 1st round game at state. (if they can finish 1st or 2nd)

v 3. Batesville - winning tradition. Forward and center mid are two of the better players in the area. However their other forward andgoalie might be out for the season. Still see them one and done in state.

^ 4. Valley View - have a great forward and a defense that is solid. Young in the mid field. Are looking better but still not sure if they are for real. Could win a game in state?

v 5. GCT - good offense and a defense that is inconstistant. Ball skills are weak.
do not like to talk about coaches but this guy has talent but does not coach soccer.

Honoarable Mentions
Marion- Not a bad team should make the 6A playoffs. But one and done.
Paragould- Could jump to number five after a win tonight.
West Memphis- To much of a one man show to be in the top five. Might not make the 6A state
CRA- to early to say but I see them being in the top five later.

Top Five Girls

- 1. Jonesboro- they are young in spots. Lack a true scorer. Defense is really good. Goalie is a question.They should make the finals of 6A. Plays VV in April.

^ 2. Valley View - look good this year. Offensively the best in the area. Defense is a question. Their Goalie is really good. Should make the 4A finals. plays Jonesboro in April.

v 3. Paragould - offense is a big question for them but their defense and keeper are not bad. 1st round win in state?

^ 4. Westside - Offense can score and score a lot. Defense and keeper are not good at all. Much improved from last year. Could win 1st round game?

- 5. Marion - great speed on offense but defensive has some holes. Should make 6A playoffs.

If CRA has the full team at the games and they have not just played baseball first they will be 2nd or 3rd.

Their play at forward is too weak to be in the top five
