Westside Girls had an impressive win tonight. IS GCT not very good or is Westside much improved. I saw in the Sun that the Elrod girl went off scoring 5 goals. Were they all unassisted ?

I don't remember an assisted goal by Westside girls, not to say there wasn't one. The ones I remember were unassisted, at least not assisted by Westside players.

That was just a bad game played by the tech girls team. They are better than what they played last night but the Elrod girl is obviously very good, scoring five goals. The tech team just didn't seem to have the fire to win once they got down.

i think it was the fact that westsides girls are just that much better than gct's girls

I don't think westside is better, Tech girls were not playing. Out of 11 on the field only 3 or 4 at a time were actually playing. Turning thier backs to the ball, walking away, not moving to the ball, about the time someone would hustle a little someone else would stop.

either way...giving up 8 goals against any team is bad. i cud see ur point if they had got beat by one or two, but they got beat pretty bad. westside's girls have a more powerful offense and can move the ball way better than gct cud. there was a girl who scored from out past the 18. they have rele good forwards this year.

westside isnt that great, #8 led them for the win that night. and tech girls were playing very bad that game,their better than what they showed.

losing by 5 in soccer is like losing by 20+ in basketball. If you lose by 20+ in basketball is that really an off night? When does GCT play again and against who?

Anyone have more details on the games?
I know LRC and Harrison are great programs. Silaom Springs is that bad either. They beat Mt. Home in the tournament. That seems to be a good showing for the Lady Blazers.

Valley View completly dominated Siloam Springs with out a serious shot on goal

In the LRC game VV led 1-0 at halftime. VV had a golden opportunity to go up
2-0 when the keeper came out missed the ball and the LRC defenders stopped 3 hard shots on goal with their bodies. LRC countered from that and VV got a handball in the box while they were clearing the ball the stopper reached up and slapped the ball down LRC scored in the last two minutes to win the game.

Harrison game was back and forth with Harrison sliding a shot in (great shot) to win the game late in the second half.

VV represented well and they have a chance to win state as CAC is a little down this year. This is the best VV girls teams to date.

I'd like to clarify that the stopper's body was between the center ref and the ball. I thought the AR on that side may have signalled it but the girls said no and that the ball was to the chest.

He said, she said ... Can't change the outcome.

They played really well regardless of the outcome of that game. Look out CAC!
