| I dont understand why our girls do not have a "extra innings" showcase? I know quite a few girls that would love to have a college scout come look at them. To have a chance to show what they've got, to schools that they would like to play for. My daughter wants to be a BEAR, but the chance of the coach seeing her play are almost 0. This type of showcase would bring a school like UCA out to look, or Williams ,ect. So can any one answer why only the boys (again) get to participate, and have this great opportunity? |

How about this...rather than complain and whine about it, why don't you take the time and effort to do something as big as the Xtra Innings classic. Two PARENTS of a former high school player are heading it up. They didn't whine about how unfair it was that their son played in the state of Arkansas and didn't get any attention, they did something for the players in this state. It's obvious that you don't know how much Coach Prater, Jim and Jewell put into the showcase every year. Or better yet, why don't you go out to the softball coaches in the area and have THEM do something, rather than gripe at the baseball people for doing something for their student-athletes. Why should they have to pick up the slack for the softball people in the state, who haven't made the effort? Maybe that's who you should be directing your little tirade towards... |

| The High school Softball does have something similar to XTRA INNINGS. It is in Conway and the Arkansas High School Fastpitch Softball Association puts it on. It is in June. College coaches come to that. It is for Juniors. |
