Listened to it on the radio. Not alot of scoring, but the fan support was great. Wish I could have been there.

Since you call it an upset, I assume VS beat them both times during the reg. season? Is that correct?
That's the way I understand it. I talked to some of the players from VS before the game and they said Flippin hadn't really been that good up until recently...they said they'd been playing really well together over the past few weeks. I guess they're peaking as a team at the right time.
In the 1st meeting of the season between the Bobcats/Tigers the Tigers won 50-40. The Bobcats did good in that game, but were unable to hold onto the lead. When they met in January the final score had Valley winning 45-38. So after looking at both scores the games were close so maybe it wasnt a huge upset, but I think Valley was the definite favorite. The Bobcats picked a great time to peak though and I wish them good luck the rest of the way.
It sounds like Flippin had started playing together.. If they upset Hoxie in the first round, and then beat a team that has beaten you twice then you must be on a roll..
Flippin had no business beating Hoxie, much less making it to finals of that regional. Hat's off to them, BUT shame on Hoxie bigtime. They had a great season, but picked a bad time not to show up. I watched the game and they got outhustled completely that night on the boards.
