ESPN has just reported that Phillip Fulmer and the University of Tennessee have decided to part ways at the end of this season. Fulmer is looking to avoid his second losing season in four years. Apparently this led to the joint decision for Fulmer to leave.

Any thoughts on this?

Gus may end up with a big time OC job, but no way he gets an SEC HC job yet.

Kiffin would be the Hogs coach if he would have been willing to leave the NFL early. IMO, Petrino is the better of the two.

Talked to Gus last weekend in Fayettville, he wont go to Tenn., as an OC, only as Head coach. I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up at Miami. Just remember you heard it hear first.

Jon Gruden- Tennessee Ties - 3 yeras as Grad Asst- Wants out of NFL. If Kiffin doesn't get it look for Gruden to be walking ol smokey around Knoxville

If Gruden is seriously interested (I can't imagine why he would be, making 4-5 million per year and a NFL success) then he would move ahead of Kiffin in my opinion. Whoever they decide on, I hope they are extremely unsuccessful. I can't stand Tennessee.
