Kobe and Pau will be tough to handle not only for the West, but any team. Great move for the Lakers now, but it will help Memphis out in the long run. Nice trade.

Trade Makes No Sense For memphis they didnt get anything they needed, they got a pg which they have 20 of, Brown Stinks, Gasol Who knows about him
well they sure weren't going anywhere with him.... i think its rebuilding time in memphis

The trade for the Grizzlies was more about clearing salary and cap room. They're about to blow the team up and start over. Brown will be a free agent and off the books at the end of the year, so they basically sold him ... in a roundabout way.
Lakers still wont win a title ... not this year anyway
Kobe has a torn ligament in his pinky... if he takes the surgery he will be out 6-8 weeks and if Lakers cant hold up without him... they could very well be knocked out of the playoff race.. in just a 4 game swing... .
Gosol will be good for the lakers maybe not this year but he will be a good adititon to there team
Gasol has already started wonderful for the Lakers, but as I previously stated... if Kobe has to get surgery and Gasol can't lead the Lakers for the next 6-8 weeks.. Lakers could very well be knocked out of the playoff run.. in just a 4 or 5 game losing streak
But lets say kobe does have surgery then gosal helps them enough to get into the playoffs and kobe comes back lets say 90% they will be a big threat to anyone...
I think Gasol can carry the Lakers long enough to get the playoffs if Kobe does have to have the surgery.. but once he gets back they'll be a hard team to beat in the playoffs.
Gasol could very well lead them yes... just because of his supporting cast... think about Memphis... he had good surrounding players.. but every year they made the playoffs.. they were swept... in the 1st round... all im saying is... Gasol isnt the kind of team leader someone needs... i think in that situation Fisher or Odom would have to step up into Kobe's spot... probably Fisher... and maintain team control while Kobe is out... but it seems as of now he will skip out on the surgery anyways
