blytheville didn't rele impress me that much at all. i don't see how they beat wynne both times. gct TOTALLY dominated the chicks in every aspect of the game at their house. all they needed to do was beat them by 3 to move ahead of them am i correct? and with a win later this week when wynne comes to greene country they will have won conference a second straight year. gct will win state AGAIN this year-GUARANTEED. there is no team that can stop them when they play like they played tonight. good job eagles |
If GCT beats Wynne Thursday, then there is a 3-way conference title tie. Wynne would be the odd team out based on points. GCT would get the 1 seed with their head-to-head victory over Blytheville (beat the Chicks by more then the Chicks beat them), and Blytheville would get the 2 seed.
But, the conference title would be shared by all three.
Now, if Wynne wins Thursday, then Wynne will be the 1, Blytheville the 2, and GCT the 3 seed and Wynne wins conference all by their lonesome.
And as far as Blytheville impressing...that's the worst we played in quite a while. We missed so many open shots and layups. GCT played a good game and caused some of that, but they didn't cause the missed wide open shots. I definitely wish it would have turned out differently, but yall were the better team last night.
gct executed their gameplan very well, big win for the eagles last night. as far as guarenteed to win state, might want to hold off on that, there are some very good teams in the state. we have a real good shot but one game at a time and it starts with wynne for the title thursday. should be an awesome game, lets come out and support the eagles thursday night.
In the boys game, Wes Livingston finished with 19 points and Trase Davis had 18. Blytheville had 4 with 9-12 points.
In the girls game, Tobar had 26 for Blytheville. And I don't think anyone scored in double figures for GCT.
And I think Blytheville is better than both Wynne and GCT.
