This is for the "Grea-*test*-('") High School Runners" , ain't it.
Lester Groves - Nettleton Class of 1975
Ronnie Davis - Bay Class of 1972
Maybe we should change the thread title, that is to big of a time frame to name off runners on.
jonathan adams(osceola)
shawndelle williford(poky)
bazil shabazz(pine bluff)
how on earth has NOONE said michael miller from tech he just won state and is an awesome runner

congrats miller
miller, freeman, duncan -GCT
Ashley Blackburn from GCT
Ashley Blackburn is awesome...and will only continue to get better

Ann Marie Brogdon is good too. Elisa Diggs runs well when she's healthy. Jordan Mallard is also a nice Cross Country and Track long distnance runner and sprinter...
I'll give another vote to Shabazz
Best I ever saw was Al Thereagood from Gosnell. Dude could fly, we had Michael Goodman who ran fast and Al smoked him in district.
Richard Brothers from Rivercrest in the early 80's

| I have to give props to Mitchell Laymen. He is really fast and go FOREVER! |
Well, congratulations!! I bet that he IS proud of that.
OK, OK. I guess that I took that the wrong way. Sorry.
the girl from jhs.. that used to go to pokie.. she is AMAZING!! she runs like nobody.. yesterday she came to a practice meet i was at alone without her school and beat all of the boys except one.. props to her and good luck in the future
As far as best distance runner, it has to be to Brian Baker from Batesville in the 90's. He won State, meet of Champions, and went on a strong 4 year career as distance runner for U of A. Highlighted by winning the SEC 10,000 Championship.
There is a Ferguson kid from Tech. He is a 7th grader and runs his mile in 5:10! The kid is AMAZING!
