Dont have a specific game but when Penders was at Texas before we went SEC were good rivalry games.

How about that Texas game where Nolan walked off the court...then came back to coach the Hogs in OT to the victory. I think Mayberry had like 35.

That was a great game. That was the game where Mayberry banked in a 3 from like 10ft behind the 3 point line to send it to OT.

I don't remember why Nolan was so upset that he had to leave. Was it the way we were playing, or was it officiating???

I think it was 1999 or 2000 when Auburn was ranked #2 in the country and their star player was Chris Porter.

They came into Bud Walton and the Hogs put on a 40 Minutes of heck clinic and sent the Tigers home with a 20 point loss.

I was at that game and I've never experienced an arena as loud as it was in Bud Walton that night. The game was on ESPN and I remember one of the commentators say on Sportscenter that night that it was sooo loud during the game that the cameras where shaking uncontrolably at one point.

PRETTY AWESOME!!!

That was a great game to watch. Nolan was hacked at the officials(and probably his own players too).

The Arkansas/ASU NIT was great in the sense that if you were there the atmosphere was unreal. Now only if the refs wouldn't have swallowed their whistle's. dry.gif

I would also have to say the first time we played Kentucky in 1992. We had just joined the conference after leaving the SWC and we stormed into Lexington and beat a solid Wildcat bunch that had some kind of crazy conference winning streak going.

I believe we won our first 4 conference meetings against Kentucky.

Until Nolan left, that was the SEC b-ball rivalry....Nolan & Pitino, not KY and FL or KY and TN.

Hopefully JP will bring us back!!!!!

The UNLV/Hogs game has to be the best of all time. They were a lot of NBA players in that game. The game finished with over 200 points combined. Fast paced with some electrifying moves. I haven't seen a game, yet, that even comes close to what we witnessed in NWA.

The AR/AZ game was good. As was the AR/Syracuse game in the Big Dance where Syracuse called a timeout when they had none resulting in a tech and AR won that game. That game was in limbo until that moment.

The tx/Hogs game where Nolan stormed off the court was good. There were some TERRIBLE calls that went tx's way. Hogs overcame the bad calls, a hostile crowd and won. That team really got motivated with their defense when he left the court.

One of mine has to be AR vs Indiania St. Moncrief vs Bird-two Hall of Famers battling each other.Moncrief practically shut Bird down in the second half. If not for a few questionable calls and a basket here or there. Moncrief vs Magic Johnson in Finals. That would have been special.

The 1978 Arkansas vs Texas game. Texas I think was ranked at the time and came to Barnill. The hogs were down by as many as 11 in the second half and came back to win 75-71. The fans stormed the floor and Moncrief was on the cover of Sports Illustrated the next week doing his high flying dunk from the game. Still got the SI magazine with me. Great game.

I didn't see his show last night but I was going through some of my SI magazines and saw the one with Moncrief on it and it reminded me of that game. When does his show come on and what channel?

10:30 pm Sunday nights, KATV 7 out of Little Rock, which is cahnnel 9 in Paragould. I have to flip back and forth between that and the Razoback Nation Pigtrail report on channel 4.

That SI cover with Moncrief has to be the best of all time. Ball cocked behind his head, knees bent, about to rip the rim off! It looks even better in the concourse at Bud Walton, larger than life. nearsports/clap.gif

I think another great game was the '94 Elite Eight matchup with Michigan.

The Battle of The Baggies!!! If you guys recall, Arkansas and Michigan were the first 2 college basketball teams to begin wearing baggy shorts in the 1993-1994 season.

We just happened to meet in the Elite Eight and faced a Webber-less Fab Five (Webber opted for the NBA following that critical TO in the Nat'l Champ game the year earlier against UNC).

I think we won by 12 or 15, but I remember the game being closer than the final score.

That was also the game where Juwan Howard was supposed to leave the game becuase he had blood on his shorts. But he dropped trou in front of 15,000 and changed right on the court then got right back in the game.

I was mad because I thought he would at least be out for a minute or two and this was in the final 5 minutes of the game I believe.

He returned, but the Hogs prevailed and advanced to the Final Four
