From the AAA:
An eligibility appeal hearing for Greenwood High School will be held on Monday, February 25, 2008, at the Arkansas Activities Association office starting at 10:00 a.m. Greenwood’s appeal will be before the entire 19-member Board of Directors.
On February 6, 2008, a sub-committee of the Board of Directors upheld the decision of AAA executive director Lance Taylor, who found that Greenwood had violated the residence rule and had to forfeit 5A West conference wins to Greenbrier and Little Rock Christian.
These two additional losses eliminated the Lady Bulldogs from the playoffs. If they get those wins back, they are in. Stay tuned.

| Any word on this?? |
The appeal was denied. And it sounds like there won't be a lawsuit to stop the tournament.
So, the West girls are:
1. Morrilton
2. Siloam Springs
3. Greenbrier
4. Vilonia
From the AAA:
In a called special meeting the Arkansas Activities Association’s Board of Directors voted 15-4 to uphold the decision by the AAA’s executive director Lance Taylor, who found the Greenwood High School senior girls basketball program in violation of the residence rule.
Greenwood had to forfeit two Class 5A West Conference games and tied for fourth place in league play. The school did not reach post-season play.
Monday’s decision was similar to a February 6, 2008 meeting when a six-member committee also ruled to uphold the director’s decision.
Looks like our brackets won't change. Go pick-em!
Was this all due to an illegible player?
