The Gulf South Conference has a really nice website for keeping up with the teams.

Here is the press release about Coach Fullerton changing over to basketball:

He has two little boys who look like they will be awesome baseball players given the way they pitch and catch with each other now at age 5 and 7.

The new Harding University head baseball coach is Dr. Pat McGaha. Coach McGaha grew up in Searcy and played baseball at Harding. He has signed several players so far (to see the list of players, go to the Harding website http://www.harding.edu/athletics/GENERAL/Signees.html). I guess this doesn't compare with Southern Arkansas University's 20 signees (wow). I'm ready to see the Harding team play! So far we know that they will travel to Austin, Texas to play St. Edwards on February 17-18, then Spring Break will be filled with home games: Sunday, March 12 - UCA; Mid-American Nazarene on Thursday, March 16; and College of the Ozarks on Friday-Saturday, March 17 and 18. So mark your calendars, and plan on coming to see some college baseball!

Harding's 2006 record so far in baseball is 7-6, with two losses coming on Sunday when we played Missouri Western. The first game lasted 10 innings and we lost 7-3, and the second game lasted 9 innings and we lost 3-1 (both games were scheduled to be 7-inning games).

Harding beat Crichton today (Feb. 28) 10-2 and 7-6.

The Gulf South Conference (West) gets the conference games started this coming weekend. Harding travels to Arkadelphia to play Henderson State University - two games on Saturday and one game on Sunday afternoon. Go Bisons!
