First the rules:

#1. We have a profanity filter. If a word is not allowed here, it's in that filter. If you use symbols to circumvent the filter (example: $hit), your post will be deleted, and you will be warned. If you fail to heed this warning, you will be banned.

#2. Personal attacks on ANYONE, whether they are a member of this forum or not, will be deleted, and you will be warned. If you fail to heed this warning, you will be banned.

#3a. This forum will NOT be used to launch any "Fire the Coach" campaigns. You can say what you wish about college or pro coaches in the college or pro forums. However, high school coaches are off limits. Such posts will be deleted, and you will be warned. If you fail to heed this warning, you will be banned.

#3b. Along the same theme, this forum will NOT be used to launch any "Get my kid more playing time" campaigns. Such posts will be deleted, and you will be warned. If you fail to heed this warning, you will be banned.

#3c. This forum will not be used to accuse ANY school of cheating. These baseless and unprovable accusations have NO PLACE here. Such posts will be deleted, and you will be warned. If you fail to heed this warning, you will be banned.

#4. No posts will be allowed that are written entirely in ALL CAPS.

#5. ONE username per person. If you are caught with more than one it is grounds for INSTANT banishment. No warnings.

#6. "Posing" is not allowed at this forum. Violators are subject to banishment. What is "posing"? Creating an account for the sole purpose of pretending to be someone you are not, or from somewhere you are not. Using your anonymity to create discussions about YOURSELF in the third person. It is VERY detectible by the administrative staff. You WILL be caught AND EXPOSED if you try it.

#7. There will be NO discussions about ANY player's grades EVER. Such posts will be deleted, and you will be warned. If you fail to heed this warning, you will be banned.

#8. NEARsports.com is a business that SELLS advertising space. There will be NO spamming of the forums or its members by companies or their representatives that are not PAID NEARsports.com advertisers. This includes spamming via the private message feature.

#9. If you wish to post a topic about a story you have read on the internet, ONLY post the link to the story. Do not copy & paste the story on these forums. This is a violation of Federal copyright laws.

#10. Posts made with just faces in them will be deleted.

#11. Mangement of this forum reserves the right to delete ANY post ANY time they see fit. Management owes NO explanations for their actions.

#12. We reserve the right to add rules or amend rules any time we see fit. Why? We own the place. Don't like it? Then take a hike. Your approval is not required.

Now these have been the rules for a long time, but there has been a laxness that has seeped into the forums over time. However, this site is not only read by adults but school age children also. SO we must govern ourselves accordingly and make posts that we wouldn't care for our children or grandchildren to see. Posts with inappropriate pictures featured will be deleted or edited immediately. See the previoius posts that were edited in the last few day and you can find some that we found objectionable.

Posts that have obvious misstatement of facts regarding any member of this forum will be edited or deleted immediately. Some examples have been edited recently ( within about 10 minutes of this post)

We want to focus on atheltics, athletes and athletic events. That is what this forum is intended for. Please keep this in mind.

We want this to be a good experince for everyone.
