What is everyones band doing this year. Wynne is excited. Looks to be around 60 or 65 up from last years 43. James Bond show this year. Percussion is excited because the new jr high director was a percussion major in college and will be working with the drumline. Going to traditional style and all new cadences.

Why isnt Choir on here?? If band is a sport than choir is too. Manila had 11 try out for all region and 6 made it. Three guys made high enough for all state. Theyve got 2 guys that have made all state before, one of them made 12th chair mixed chorus.

People don't consider band or cheerleading sports, but they are a big part of sporting events. My son is a football/baseball player. My daughter is in the WR PRIDE Marching Band. She puts in as much time preparing for performances at his games as he does. As do the cheerleading squads. Imagine football games without bands or cheerleaders. Basketball games without cheerleaders. WR uses it's jazz band @ some home basketball games. Atleast they are supporting our high school athletes in a positive fashion, unlike we tend to do in our posts.

No they are not sports. What i'm saying is that they are a big part of sports. I see nothing wrong with starting a thread about the bands. If Butterballs don't want to read about the band, go to another forum. There was obviously an interest in the post, because it was read. Being a smart- was uncalled for.

If you got offended by my question I appoligize. I was in a debate about Cheering being a sport or not on another thread and was just wanting your opinion.

Well put ??no ot?? I totally agree with you. In fact, if fans would learn to be quiet and listen more to the bands at halftime they might actually learn to enjoy and appreciate their band. I am crazy about sports but bands are cool too!

NOBODY said Band was a sport! However, When the football team plays, SO DOES THE BAND! That's why I built a forum for them! If you don't like it, then don't look at this forum! D@MN! Some of you people are just not happy unless you are bi+ching about something! I've had pretty much all of that I'm going to take! If you don't like it here, LEAVE!
