Highland vs. Westside @ ASU

OK, I have to say it. I'm stunned. It's a full moon and the stars are aligned this year. ASU and Westside are both having a decent year. I am very proud for the boys and anybody that knows me, talking about Westside football, is a major big deal. I am a Westside alum of 1980 and I have seen over 30 years of bad luck and have been a major critic of the football program. Over the years I couldn't even stomach it to go and watch much. I hope this is a turnaround for the program and if it is because of the new coach, I will give the parents a little advice. Support him alot because Westside has a history of screwing up and making the wrong decisions on coaches. I mean this, hold on to him like he was your own family and praise him or it will be lost. Congrats Warriors.

I hear ya'. I'm an '81 alum and know exactly what you are talking about. Seems like successful coaches (w/one obvious exception) are almost penalized rather than rewarded.

Anyway...hats off to the Warriors for another big win. nearsports/clap.gif

I just heard that we will play Pokey next year at ASU around the sept 24-25 maybe...

still so proud of the guys and the win.. great to be 4-2. thanks to all the fans and coaches and admin that made this game happen

Ugly is right, but my hats off to the Warriors. Highland may be the worst offensive team I have seen this year. I heard coach say the keys to victory were his team had to tackle and block well. Sort of comical. He might start with scoring a touchdown. The Rebs are caught up with politics, poor preparation, and even worse youth development programs. It makes for a long season in Rebel land.
