Impressive arse whooping put on LSU tonight as the Hogs empty the bench in a 87-61 romp. Hogs were en fuego from 3-land. Up next...Pelphrey takes his Hogs back into his old stomping grounds at Kentucky.

Can't get too excited about this win. Afterall, we were playing a coachless LSU team that hasn't even won a home conference game so far this season.

Kentucky is probably the hot-*test*-('") SEC team right now behind Tennessee. Hogs better bring their A game on the 23rd if they even hope to hang with Kentucky.

I think the Hogs will lose by double digits in Rupp. This group of seniors don't know how to win on the road and Rupp is not a place you begin to learn....

Gotta Agree with red hogs n not being to excited. Probably not a good -*test*-('") tonight. A good confidence builder heading into KY. That being said after the way we looked the previous couple getting blasted, we better bring the A game. I don't think it will be quite the blowout predicted though.

anything i have to say is that i agree with duke.

Remember this is the same "coachless team" that only lost by two to Tennessee. I think the Hogs can and will beat Kentucky in Rupp.

You're right....but that was the first game after losing Brady, so there was some extra motivation on the part of LSU to step up their game.

Since then, they've played uninspired basketball, and for good reason.

The "coachless team" also beat the crap out of Florida in Gainesville and only lost to Kentucky by 4. Uninspired? Maybe last night, but the 3 games coming in were anything but. A 26 point win in the SEC is big, no matter who you're playing. It was an impressive win...but I would love to see it validated with a quality road win. And what better place than Rupp Arena Saturday. nearsports/razorback.gif

You're a glass half-empty kind of guy aren't you Boston.

I'm not a glass half empty guy, I just consider myself a realist after watching this group of guys play together for the last 3-4 years.

They DO NOT win on the road.

Why are my comments pessimistic? Is it because it's not what you want to hear?

I'm a college basketball fan, and above all else, a passionate and loyal member of the Razorback Nation. But I'm not going to let my love for this University stand in the way of what I think this team is realistically capable of doing.

And the 2 things I have seen them be capable of doing over the last 3 1/2 years is 1) win BIG and then have a huge let down game directly following the BIG win and 2) not being able to win on the ROAD.

Based on the 2 rules outlined above, there is NO WAY we will win this ROAD game in Rupp after coming off a BIG win.

Once again, I just think I'm a realist with this team in particular.

I agree with you about this team and their inconsistency and road woes, I am just giving them more credit for last night's win than you. Yeah, it was LSU, but over their past 3 games (not just the UT game) with the new coach they have played extremely well...then we spanked them.
Now, do I think that means we go to Rupp and play like we did last night? No way. I just enjoy the wins, and then worry about the next game on game day.
Believe me, this team has frustrated me to no end, but I do believe they have learned a little from Pelphrey and his fiery demeanor. I do think they are a different team than they were the last couple years.

You're right on LSU's play as of late. I had not kept up as well since the Tenn game. And a 26 point win, in conference or not, IS impressive.

I still don't see how you think the Hogs are a different team than they have been in the past. Our overall and conference records are about on par with where they have been the last couple of years....there's no significant difference. The wins have been by bigger margins, but almost always at home, and the losses are still on the road and also to teams that, on paper, we should beat. That to me is the same as they've always been.

I like Pelphrey a lot and it's not from a lack of trying on his end. I think he's a wonderful fit for the program and I'm excited about his passion for the game and this University and the bright future I think we have. I just think this group can not consistently deliver a quality game, no matter how much Pel preaches.

Hopefully I'm proven wrong on Saturday but the fact that we've blown double-digit leads against KY 2 years in a row (with pretty much the same group of guys) leaves me feeling less than confident heading in.
