The new board sends an email to you, just like the old one does, in order to make sure you have not provided a fake email address. You will NOT be able to activate your account until you click the link in that email.

The email MIGHT be sent to your BULK or JUNK mail folder. If you don't get it right away, check these folders to see if it was received there.

I am still having difficulty getting people to understand that they MUST validate their account or they CANNOT post. The validation is in your email. Make sure you check BULK or JUNK folders also.
