This will not be good thats all i have to say the mavs are getting a good trade in the short run but u have to look into the futre to and kid has been around for awhile and u have to start wondering how much he has left in him i figure he will be around for another 5 years

Future, Future, Future! This is what everyone is talking about, the future is now. And when it gets that time to get young guys, then they will cross that bridge when they get there. You dont win championships if you dont have the good players. The mavs have a good future and with addind Kidd, it makes that even better. Quit worrying about the future. The old saying goes, "Why put off for tomorow what you could get done today." I have noticed that every time a trade is made, everyone on this sight thinks its bad, change is good sometimes people. If the mavs get Kidd, they will be LEGENDARY. Look at that lineup. The guy that has the most triple doubles in the nba and Dirk will be a great team.

It would help the Mavs yes, since J-kidd is basically gonna get you a double-double every night... with many triple-doubles... he is a good player... but i cant see him playing any more then 7 or 8 more years... at the most... but i think a vet. point guard like Kidd would give the Mavs a better shot, ( even though i hate the mavs)

I disagree with you mr max.. i think it would be a great trade for the mavs.., thats just what they need is a veteran point guard to get them to the top.

How does it really have anything to do with the future? All of the players that were supposed to go to the Nets will come off the books at the end of this year anyway. The Nets were doing it more for cap space, not stocking up for the future.
