I asked the question because NO-ONE here in Northeast Arkansas really cares about a Jr. High girls job in Benton, so it didn't make much sence when I read it plus the fact I read when I got home from work and just kinda glanced over it. I don't get on their website much. Don't get on here much. I just posted something that was easy to understand and someone asked "What does this mean?" By the way, I have my masters... in education. And... if someone is really interested in coaching they would move to Benton. It would be a good starter job. What about when LR Christian was posted? Camden, Ashdown, Marshall, Augusta? Cross County didn't have many girls on their senior team, but there were several on the Junior high team. The coach had his hands full with the senior high team just fielding a team, and the girls knew it. And, they made sure he knew that they knew it. Maybe whoever they hire will turn it around.

So where did the two cross county coaches go? Any new openings? Anything at the junior high level or any assistant jobs?

The boy's coach was the principal and he went back to Carlise, I think. The girls coach is just going to teach. I think he is getting out of basketball.

So has Riverside hired a coach yet?

I don't think so, but they've been turned down a few times.

Like who could they hire from within to coach girls basketball? You have to have a coaching endorsement on your teaching license, right? We've had a few good prospects come to interview; Yes, Cook turned it down to go to P'gould. Kinda hard to compete with money and facilities, but we do have a terrific team coming back. The right person will show up soon, I believe.

You heard wrong. The Marion job is not open. Coach Long is still our head coach, there should be an assistant job open . It would benifit coach Long and the Lady Pats if they would get him an assitant that will help. Current asst. just takes up a seat on the bench.
