Strickly Coach's decision.. Without going to far into his personal life, he's a new Dad.. And IMO that after weighing the difference between salaries and the time away from his family, he decided to put his family first.. Imagine that..

props to that man! who is on the hunt for the job there then since he made the decision to step out of coaching? is the option there for him to come back whenever he wants?

BLUE33- 05-26-2008
Know for sure that there are a couple of young Coaches interested in the job.. A couple of seasoned Coaches have checked it out but the salary being offered kind of made them not so interested (go figure).. I believe they'll hire a young first time HC.. This could be very exciting for the Coach and the kids involved.. I'm sure Coach P could get back into Coaching if he chose to do so..

So anything happening on the job fronts up that way? BK made a decision yet? What all jobs are still open?

neafbfan- 05-30-2008
Weiner hired a new coach for the girls basketball team. Coach Bo I think is what she goes by.

Bald Knob has hired a new HC and Asst for the Boys teams. Justin Moore-HC and Tyrell Pace-Asst.. Both are Bald Knob graduates, young and energetic. This looks to be a good hire by BK. I wish both of them the best of luck and 100% support.. Congrats to both of ya'll.

On Monday I am watching the news and they announce that Coach Allison (Nettleton) who had been coaching at Stuttgart was the new baseball coach at Blytheville. So I call a baoching friend at Blytheville and he tells me that he accepts the job on Monday and then calls on Tuesday and backs out, but he did not know why. Does anyone else know why?

The Courier didn't give any real details about it. So, I'm not real sure why either.

Supposedly, Stuttgart really upped the ante and made it worth his while to stay.

Stuttgart made an offer Coach Allison couldn't refuse. Thursday afternoon Blytheville hired Blake Burnside as the head baseball coach.

oldguy_21- 07-03-2008
Where is Burnside from?

nearsports/0c4fae0e.gif Is this for real? Why in world would a college asst. take a job at 2A high school. No disrespect to Riverside just don't make sense. Is there and underlying reason she would leave college.
Not to mention having Buster as your AD> nearsports/shoot.gif

I guess Riverside attracts college assistants. I mean Jay Cook was VERY close to being the girls coach at Riverside.

Not as close as Riverside might have thought or hoped
