As of now Riverside Jr. and Sr. Girls are open, Rainwater took the job at Nettleton as the Jr. High coach. I have also heard (only rumors) that Matt Dean was the new Trumann girls coach, then someone else told me that he was holding out for the Paragould Sr. job, and so was Fowler (BIC) and I didn't even know the job was open, so who knows what Dean will do. Coach Hixson has offically resigned. He has some health problems and thought he could not give 100%. I think they will offer it to Glintborg if he wants it? Gosnell and Cross Co. I have not heard anything. nearsports/blush.gif

I think Dean is going to be the new girls coach at Truman.

bobcatforever- 04-16-2008
The question is will he stay at Trumann if he goes there?

joseywales- 04-16-2008
Rainwater to Nettleton, WOW! Riverside has most their starters returning and a good jr high team! Will be a good job for someone, question is who?

joseywales- 04-16-2008
If Dean hasn't taken the Trumann job yet, I bet the teams of the 3AA North wouldn't want to see him over in Rebel country.

Last I heard Manila is not getting a new boys coach. Hud is staying. Absolutely unbelievable!!!
Let the death of the program continue.

Son, we used to be a good basketball school.....

Blytheville's boys opening won't become official until Monday night.

I'm not sure Glintborg wants it. But, I think he'd be a good one.

Come on Mike, if a person turns in their resignation its offical just because the board has not OKed it, its just paper work. Glintborg wants to be a principle but he would be the best person for the job. I think right now its 50-50. nearsports/blush.gif nearsports/blush.gif

I heard this yesterday but I thought it had to be just a rumor. Nettleton must have had a ton of cash because Riverside is going to be the team to beat next year.

Seems like things are starting to move a lil now. What is the la-*test*-('") up that way, especially on the boys side of things?

You are so right, Hud will be coaching the boys next year at Manila. Its a never ending saga at Manila. nearsports/blush.gif

This is all getting rather interesting! I'm kinda enjoying just sitting back and reading, but more than anything I want to hear who will be taking those Lady Rebels to that elite status that they were in the mid 90's?

Take it Dean!!! They don't need anyone that coached at BIC to take it for sure! That would be funny though! nearsports/07388820.gif

Missco- 04-16-2008
I hope Glintborg takes the Blytheville job. As for Manila, I feel like they don't think they had a choice but to let HUD coach again. They know it will only be for a year or two. They didn't want to go to court. I can't say I blame them knowing the circumstances. You have to remember that he was one of only two people that applied last time. Who says they didn't try and find somebody this time? Osceola also has an opening for a Sr. Boys coach.

Coach Dean has taken the Truman job. I heard he was hired at the board meeting Monday night.
