Legendary Washington Redskin QB Joe Theisman will be in Forrest City Monday June 6 to play in the annual Forrest City Grocery Celeb golf tourny. This tourny attracts big names every year (last year we had Pete Rose) would say something good, but he was a jerk!! Joe has been here before. This tourny benefits the Forrest City School athletic dept. (around a 100K per year) I didn't know until today that Joe lives in Memphis. I got a chance to look over some of the door prizes today and man oh man, autographed balls and helments ans stuff from Lebron James to Terry Bradshaw to John Elway, you name it they have it.

I do not golf!! Not to get on anyones bad side, but it is a boring sport to me. A team from Miss won 1st and 2 teams from the forrest city area came in 2nd and 3rd. Had around 25 teams. Theisman was super, bout wore him out signing autographs.

I played a couple of holes with him. He hit his tee shot off the side of the hill on the front of the green on #4 or #5 (right before the par 3 over the water). The hole is a par 4 off about 300 yds. He's got a pretty good swing......flopped his next shot to within 2'.
