team gets another yellow jersey, way to go!

Decrepit- 07-13-2005
I doubt there has ever been an individual dominate a sport the way LA does cycling. Even Michael Jordan was not so far ahead of everyone else.

The Discovery team is tremendous as well. Barring crashes or illness, the yellow jersey is Lance's the rest of the way.

Lance Armstrong is my hero. He's had so many things stacked against him yet he keeps fighting and comes out on top. He had that fight with cancer that he won, making him a shining ray of hope to millions of cancer patients, and not only did he survive cancer, but he came back to one of the roughest sports in the world and dominates it. Another think about the Tour de France, is well, it's in France. What Lance is doing is the equivalent of Michael Jordan playing in a game 7 on the road in the NBA Finals, and winning that game 6 years in a roll, and hopefully 7. Bravo Lance clap.gif

Just remember it's a team effort with out his team he would not be nearly as succesfull. They do a good job of protecting him and he has been fortunate to have several good teams to support his 6 going on 7 runs.

SC Bulldog- 07-15-2005
No question about it. The team does a great job of protecting Armstrong. I will say that in most interviews that I have read, he usually gives the team credit. clap.gif

Of course he's always had a good team with him. Even Jordan couldn't have won 6 without Pippen and the guys.

NutRidge- 07-16-2005
Setting in 1st with 1 minute 41 second lead!!!

SC Bulldog- 07-17-2005
Teammate gets a chance to shine on Sunday while Armstrong maintains lead. George Hincapie looked strong on this stage.

After today he still leads by 2:46..

Hillbilly- 07-22-2005
Barring an unfortunite accident he has it. Nearest challengers are just competing with each other now for 2nd and 3rd, 3rd mainly.

Neabbfan- 07-23-2005
Lance won the time trial today and extened his lead to 4:40.
