LAYNE JOINS PIONEERS BASEBALL
PARAGOULD, AR – Clarkton, Missouri High School graduate Barry Layne has signed to play his college baseball with the Pioneers of Crowley’s Ridge College.
Layne, an infielder and catcher, batted .303 during his senior season with 25 runs batted in. He also picked up 20 stolen bases on the season as Clarkton High School’s only senior last season.
“Barry is a great addition for our team,” said Pioneers Head Baseball Coach Chris Perkins. “He brings much needed versatility to our team. He can play second base, short and catcher as well.”

Well I talked to Nick Banks tonight who is playing for CRC and from what I heard from him they should be a pretty good hitting team this year.
