Lyon College wins fifth consecutive, dumps BBC

SPRINGFIELD, MO – Everyone on the roster scored and four Lyon College Pipers notched double-figure scoring nights in an 84-27 Saturday evening thrashing of Baptist Bible College on the road.
The Pipers are off to quite a start this season, settling to 6-1 after Saturday's win. The victory was the team's fifth consecutive and its sixth overall against just one loss.
Pipers April Carter, LeAnna Peerson and Maribeth Waters each scored a team-high 12 points in the rout. Lyon teammate Micah Thompson added 10 points and Lori Dement and K.K. Hodges pitched in eight each.
Lyon shot 32 of 67 from the field (48 percent) and 10 of 22 from the 3-point line (45 percent).
Laura Throesch led the Pipers in rebounding with nine while Hodges grabbed six off the glass. Peerson and Snezana Jovanovic shared team-high assist honors with four each.
