Manila Jr High Football team win its first game tonight 38-0 over Caruthersville Mo.
They play really good, had a good crowd even in the rain.

Congrats to Manila. I predict in the next 3 years that the Manila High School team will make the play-offs. Having football is the best thing that the Manila school has done in the last few years.

I really think it will be before then. That Jr High team is pretty good, I think when you put some of the 9th graders and the 10th graders together they will be pretty good.

Caruthersville was completely overmatched last night. I saw the last three quarters and I would guess they had negative yards total offense. I realize that MO schools only play 7th & 8th graders in Jr. High, but our guys looked pretty good.

The Sun had Caruthersville will -42 yards of offense on the night. It seemed like there were more Manila defensive players in their backfield than Caruthersville players. Great game by Manila.
