I have neither seen nor heard a negative word about Monk until your post.

Always gonna be some haters. nearsports/th_yawn.gif Even Mother Teresa had critics.

I am in no way a hater. I loved Marcus as a player at the UofA. I was very surprised at the way things happened in Dallas. I was just stating a personal experience with him. I am glad by the response from you guys, especially Mike D, that this must have been an isolated experience. I just hated it for the kids that wanted the autograph. My son now has a football signed by every 2007 Razorback, including DMac, Felix and all the coaches. Coach Broyles even stop to sign. The only sig missing is Monk's. I sctatched them off the roster as they signed.
My apoligy for assuming this was the way he always was, hopefully this was isolated.

I have never seen Monk show anything but class.
Monk seemed to always be a team player and loyal to his coaches, unlike some of the spoiled kids who caused problems when they didn't get their way. Could it have been that he was upset with the turn of events that went on to dampen the end of a very good season with some major accomplishments such as defeating LSU At LSU. and having to play without their coach???
Just wondering out loud?

Dont know the reason. Again I am just basing this post on my experience. I hope it was isolated. I know some of his family and know he wasn't raised that way. Maybe someday in the future I can get the ball signed so it will be complete.

If you all will remember, Marcus was battling stomach flu during the Cotton Bowl. This may have affected the way he responded at that time.

Marcus was a senior. Played four years. He had no more eligibility.

Oh ye of little knowledge, let me guide you.

Marcus started last season with a knee surgery, and missed the first 6 games. He could have chosen to sit out the entire season and take a medical redshirt. If he had made that choice, then there is no doubt he would have been granted one more year of elgibility. Thus the basic of my statement.

Sorry I did not go into a detailed explaination in my original post, but I though everyone who knew Razorback football was aware of that situation. Guess I was wrong.

I was aware of the injury and the option to redshirt. What YOU are not aware of is that Nutt MADE him come back and did not give him the option of redshirting.
