The only bright side of this game is the Bobcats are playing at home, and the ride to the house won't take long
MT BY 3....td's that is
Looking at the Bobcat's Schedule for the remainder of the season looks like Rector will be WR's last good chance at another win. However, keep in mind what happened last year. The Cougars were on a roll until a rouging the kicker penalty gave WR an automatic first down. WR went on to win the game by a score of 26-22 |
The chances of Pix passing up the chance to take a shot at the cats is about as likely as him passing up seconds at the buffet line.
Nothing like a know-it-all who's day-to-day revolves around living vicariously through the efforts of a bunch of teenagers on a field. Maybe if he'd actually played himself.....

There is nothing "no it all" about my post you quoted. It's simply fact
Walnut Ridge has Rector, EPC and Augusta remaining on their schedule.
EPC is presently ranked at #12, WR is at #20
Both EPC and Marked Tree run from the I formation and Gray from Marked Tree accumulated 227 yards against the Bobcats. EPC also has some very healthy offensive linemen who can make the holes for an effective running game. Playing EPC last year, I know they're also not a bit afraid to put the ball in the air if needed.
Augusta, while they're not having that good of a season can also do a lot of damage. They have lost to the same guys the Bobcats have. They lost to Cross County by a score of 47-48. This tells me they have the potential to put some serious points up against a team who happen to win over the Bobcats. They're also favored by 4 points this week over a team which won over Walnut Ridge.
So continue with your pot shot remarks if you choose. It's simply because you don't have a leg to stand on and don't like reading what is common knowledge to everyone whither they've played the game or are simply fans.
MT runs alot out of the Wing T as well as multiple sets. EPC runs multiple sets with different looks.
I don't think either run the I as a primary offense.

My bad, both teams are listed as running the I in Hootens. We all know the effectiveness of MT's ground game, and unless things have changed a lot at EPC they'll do a lot of ground as well. The Warriors lost to Marked Tree by a score of 6 to 7 which tells me they're plenty capable of turning up the pressure on defense.
Think they held Gray in check most of the game. He may have had 80 yards rushing total. He got 50 of that in the long td run that put them ahead. MT has always had a solid running attack with dependable backs. Brannum is a heck of a coach. He makes good half time adjustments.
EPC ground pounds a lot now since Courtney is gone. They used to be pass, pass, pass. They ran a spread back then and would throw the ball 50+ times a game. Right now EPC's pass is not as effective but the running game is explosive. Their defense swarms the ball and it's nothing to see 8 guys on the tackle. I think their defense is ranked in the top 3 in their class.
