From what I have been told Mr Mitch Mustain has been dropped to 3rd string QB behind a true freshman. How many of you told me I was so wrong for saying he would never step on the field at U.S.C ? Please stand up and take a roll call ! nearsports/07388820.gif

He's played...

From USC's website (vs Virginia)

Passing Att-Cmp-Int Yds TD Long Sack
--------------------------------------------
Sanchez, Mark 35-26-1 338 3 49 0
Corp, Aaron 2-1-0 2 0 2 0
Mustain, Mitch 1-1-0 10 1 10 0
Totals... 38-28-1 350 4 49 0

Key word in your statement being "never". So yeah, you're wrong.

Grizz23- 09-27-2008
Anyone that knew anything about USC knew Mustain would be sitting behind Sanchez... They had HUGE expectations for Sanchez even when he was in HS.

Thing about it, after Sanchez is gone he will still be the water boy. nearsports/bluecry.gif

McCarroll21- 09-27-2008
I wonder if he wishes he had a do over.

Either way, I thought it was odd that he didn't transfer to North Carolina and play for Butch Davis. I thought that was going to be a match made in heaven.

It would have been poetic had Ed Orgeron recruited him to Ole Miss during the transfer phase and all the events fall out as they did.

He should have went to Tulsa and played for the coach and in the system that made him. System QB in every sense of the phrase.

Bottom line is you will never have 1/10 of the ability of Mitch Mustain. While Mitch may never start a game at USC, I applaud his decision to compete at the best QB college in the nation. How many colleges can have a QB that never starts a game in college but starts in the NFL? I wish Mitch was the QB at Arkansas right now but thanks to TCTWF we have Dick sad.gif

Missco- 09-29-2008
Mustain will NEVER play in the NFL. Those guys would eat him alive. His mother RUINED him.

I never said I did have 1/10 the talent, even though I will start just as many games as him at U.S.C. wink.gif

I was one of the only ones if not the only one on here tring to tell all of you Mitch Mustain was a cry baby who never could get off his moms boob, and would NEVER start a game for U.S.C. He deserves to be the water boy. If he wasn't such a momma's boy he would have made a better decision and went to Tulsa, U.N.C, or even Tennessee for that matter. Instead he listen to his mom, and went to U.S.C to get a better tan.

Yes she did. I almost feel bad for him....sort of.

The Bassmaster- 09-30-2008
I thought from the start that he might be just a little overrated but now I know he was totally overrated. The kid needs to learn a little bit about patience, responsibility, and commitment.

As of this past weekends depth chart on USC website Mustain has been dropped to 4th string now.
Here is what Mustain will have:
1) The chance to tell his kids he played for USC
2) The stories to tell his grand kids of how awesome of a player he was at USC
3) The story to tell his great grand kids of how he was one of the grea-*test*-('") QB in USC history

I have seen a lot of kids that were great High School players and never really transitioned into much in college, but once the whining and gripping started with him and his mom I really quit caring and just started laughing at how ego driven of a kid he is to think that he was going to run the show where ever he went. I bet that in his mind he thought that he would be the next USC Heisman as soon as Booty stepped out of his way and let him take charge of the Trojans.
You are right...he should have just gone and played for his daddy in Tulsa like a bunch of his other brothers ended up doing.

PRESENT:

According to ESPN, Mitch "THE MAN" Mustain has made a rapid 5 day climb from 4th to 2nd on the USC depth Chart. Infact. last week, he threw a touchdown pass.

ESPN said if Sanchez is not recovered from his injury, Mustain would be the starting QB.

So I guess Mitch will be able to tell his kids, he played at USC, threw a touchdown pass, and moved to backup to Sanchez, and started some games in his first year of eligbility, for starters. Not many Arkansas boys get to tell their children that !!!!!!!

I have a question for all the Mustain haters. Assume that YOUR son was one of the Nations top rated quarterbacks, and he could pretty well attend any college he wanted.

Based on YOUR son's observations, he chose the program that he felt he would best fit into, even if he had to leave the state.

Then the COACH comes into your living room, sits on your couch and tells your son and YOU things like:

Your high school coach is going to be our new offensive co-ordinator. He will have total control to install the offense that you have grew up in. You can stay at home and be a state hero.

So based on this statement, your YOUR son choses to stay at home and attend college, and you give your blessings to his decision.

Then the season begans, and suprise, suprise. It seems the COACH is not letting your high school coach have much controll over the offense. It is run, run, and more run.

Now the question is, "if this were YOUR son, how would YOU react?"

I have a feeling that most of the Mustain bashers would be reactinbg like Mitch's mother did!!!
